I just read a pretty good article on building a website that is focused on the visitor and not the company.
This is very often a major problem for designers and their clients.
1. The website becomes a showpiece for the company as opposed to a customer centered system.
2. If it fails to have an easy navigation for someone who is new to the site, that visitor will remain a “potential” customer.
3. Because of the investment, many companies keep the site design long after that style is really relvant for today’s web searcher.
You need to evolve with the evolution of the internet.
Check out the full article if you are leading the development of a website for your business, or if you are a designer building sites for others. It will be worth your time.
